Joseph Patrick “Pete” Klosen, Jr., 71, of Stapleton passed away June 26, 2013 at his home. He was born September 15, 1941 in North Platte to Joseph Patrick and Patricia (Harrahill) Klosen Sr.
He graduated from Stapleton High School in 1959 and attended college at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO, graduating with an Agribusiness Degree. He returned home to the family farm in Stapleton. On August 19, 1967 he married Stella G. Perlinger in Paxton, NE.
Pete was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, past school board member and past Co-Op board member. He loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s events and activities.
Survivors include his wife, Stella of Stapleton; children, Kelly Grauerholz of North Platte, Nick (Deanna) Klosen of Stapleton, Angie (Joel) Beavers of Overton, NE and John (Danielle) Klosen of Dodge, NE; grandchildren, Shelby, Kayla and Morgan Klosen, Madison and Mackenzie Beavers, Caitlin, McKenna and Colton Klosen; sisters, Ann Rose and Janet (Dennis) Knudson all of Omaha; and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Catholic Church and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
Christian Wake Service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at St. John’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 with the Reverend Antony Thekkekara as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
