(AP) — Nearly 100 workers have moved into the Lincoln school district’s new headquarters.
The new building replaces the headquarters building destroyed by an arson fire more than two years ago. A former district worker last year was sentenced to prison for starting the fire.
More than 70 firefighters responded to the blaze that began the night of May 30, 2011. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The loss was estimated at $20 million.
The first wave of workers moved into the building’s third floor on Monday. Another wave is scheduled to move into the second floor next week, then a final group on July 22.
