(AP) — Authorities say they have recovered the body of a Columbus man who apparently drowned in a north-central Nebraska reservoir.
The body of 55-year-old Anthony Blaser was found Tuesday in Merritt Reservoir, southwest of Valentine.
Cherry County Attorney Eric Scott says Blaser was last seen early Sunday morning. His boat was later found abandoned in the reservoir’s Powderhorn area.
Foul play isn’t suspected. An autopsy is planned.
Members of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Cherry County Sheriff’s Office searched the area for two days before finding Blaser.
