(AP) — Corrections officials say they’ve captured a Nebraska inmate who escaped after a work detail assignment.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services says they located 33-year-old Juan Ramirez Thursday afternoon about two hours after he escaped.

Ramirez had been at a work detail site before being transported by vehicle to the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln. Officials say he opened a car door on the way to the center and ran.

Ramirez is serving between 10 and 15 years for two counts of possession of a stolen firearm and one count of burglary.
