(AP) — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 69-year-old Gretna man as a homicide, and a suspect is in custody.

The Sarpy County Sheriff’s department says William H. Braesch was found dead from gunshot wounds inside his home around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say they won’t identify the suspect until after they finish interviewing witnesses.

An autopsy on Braesch’s body is planned to be done on Monday.
