Lorina “Lori” L. Turner

Lorina “Lori” L. Turner, 58, of North Platte, passed away July 24, 2013 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1954 to Robert and Verna (Clay) Lewis at the naval base in Guam. She traveled with her family while her father was in the U.S. Navy. Lori graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1972 and later that year was united in marriage to Jack Turner. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and enjoyed baking. She is survived by her mother, Verna Lewis of Merna, NE; two sons, Brad (Kari) Turner of North Platte and Dan (Jamie) Turner of Kearney; two daughters, Patti (Greg Johnson) Turner of North Platte and Amy (Josh) Allen of Stapleton; siblings, Terry (Jill) Lewis of Phoenix, AZ, Tony (Vicki) Lewis of Denver, CO, Bob Lewis of Long Beach, MS, Kathy (Kenny) Pomplun of Kearney, Jana (Bob) Myers of Curtis and Shauna Barker of Broken Bow; seven grandchildren, Shyenne, Zane, Hailey, Emma, Elijah, Tyrus and Kaden; Jack Turner of Arnold; and other relatives. Lori was preceded in death by her father. Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Valley Christian Church with the Rev. Brent Montgomery officiating. A memorial has been established in her memory. Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so from 9am to 5pm at the funeral home. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
