Gonzalez Back for Rockies After Missing 3 Games

Carlos-Gonzalez-Rockies-CarATLANTA (AP) — All-Star left fielder Carlos Gonzalez was back in the lineup for the Colorado Rockies on Monday night after missing the last three games with a sprained right middle finger.

Gonzalez aggravated the finger last Thursday at Miami and left the game. He was originally injured July 7 while batting at Arizona.

Both times he hurt his finger while striking out.

The Rockies announced before Monday’s game against the Atlanta Braves that they have recalled infielder Charlie Culberson from Triple-A Colorado Springs and optioned infielder Jordan Pacheco.

Culberson hit .310 with 14 homers and 64 RBIs in 97 games at Colorado Springs.
