(AP) — A 23-year-old Polk man has died of injuries suffered in a single-vehicle crash about six miles southwest of Stromsburg.

Derek Rodine’s vehicle left the roadway just before 2 a.m. Sunday, went into a ditch, rolled and came to rest in a field.

Polk County Sheriff Dwaine Ladwig says a passer-by called for help.

The sheriff’s office says Rodine and three passengers were taken to a York hospital, where Rodine died. The other three passengers were treated and released.

Ladwig says the crash remains under investigation.
