Nebraska Man Sentenced to Prison for Distributing Meth

dept.-of-justice(AP) — A central Nebraska man has been sentenced to five years in prison for distributing methamphetamine.

U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says 36-year-old Luis Jordan was given the sentence Monday. It will be followed by four years of supervised release.

Jordan was convicted of distributing methamphetamine. Prosecutors say he sold 20 grams of methamphetamine in November 2011 to a cooperating witness working with law enforcement in Grand Island. He set up a deal to sell five ounces of methamphetamine to a cooperating witness in Duncan in October 2012.

Officials say Jordan placed at least one bag of the drug in a stuffed animal located in his car.
