LINCOLN – The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) has hired Sarah SasseKildow as an Assistant Director. A Lincoln native and former UNL Women’s Golf standout, Sarah Sasse-Kildow will begin her duties at the NSAA on August 1st.
Sasse-Kildow will be responsible for media and marketing relations, publications,
championship programs, and will be the primary administrator in charge of softball.
Sasse-Kildow brings many added assets to the Association. After a successful
athletic career and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of
Nebraska-Lincoln in 2003, she has developed a skill set involving marketing, sales and
client relations. Sasse-Kildow has also acquired extensive experience in coaching and
event management.
As an athlete, Sasse-Kildow remains one of the most decorated golfers in
Nebraska history becoming the first women’s golfer to receive First-Team All-America
honors in 2003. She was the 2003 Big XII Champion & Player of the Year, a three-time
All-Big 12 honoree and a four-time Academic All-Big 12 selection.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the NSAA. As an ex-athlete I’ve always had
a strong interest in supporting local activities. As an Assistant Director of the NSAA, I
have that opportunity to impact interscholastic activities as well as brand and promote
the educational values of high school participation. It really is a win-win for me!”
“We are excited to have Sarah on the NSAA team,” says NSAA executive director
Rhonda Blanford-Green. “She is well-respected across the state. Sarah has tremendous
knowledge of marketing and media relationships and with her experience in event
management, her talents will support the mission of the NSAA.”
The NSAA Board will take formal action to approve Sasse-Kildow’s appointment
as assistant director at its August 21 meeting.
