(AP) — Online brokerage TD Ameritrade will show off its new $135 million headquarters building in Omaha on Wednesday.
Ameritrade CEO Fred Tomczyk, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman and Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert all plan to attend a grand opening celebration Wednesday morning.
More than 2,000 Ameritrade workers moved into the 12-story tower in west Omaha earlier this year. Previously, they were spread among four different Omaha locations.
The building is designed to meet stringent standards for energy efficiency. So it is expected to use half as much energy as buildings of similar size and age.
The building features a fitness center, cafeteria, training classrooms, green space and a recreation area with video games and foosball tables for employees.
