(AP) — Authorities say three young brothers are dead after a minivan and a car collided in southwest Phoenix.
Phoenix police say a 16-year-old boy didn’t have a driver’s license but was driving six of his siblings to various schools Monday morning.
The names of those killed haven’t been released, but police say the boys were ages 5, 8 and 11.
They say it appears none of the children in the minivan were wearing seat belts at the time of the 7 a.m. crash.
At least three of the children were ejected after the minivan collided with a sedan and then rolled.
Police say three other children remain hospitalized, including a 4-year-old girl who’s in critical condition.
The man in his 40s who was driving the sedan also is in critical.
