(AP) — Two city workers in the central Nebraska city of Minden had to be pulled to safety after being overcome by toxic gas in a manhole.
The workers were clearing a blockage in a sewer line Sunday afternoon when they were overcome by gas.
The Minden Volunteer Fire Department was called and crews managed to pull the employees to safety.
They were taken to area hospitals. Their names and conditions weren’t released.
Minden is about 20 miles south of Kearney.
