NSP Cites 11 Businesses for Non-Compliance During Weekend Checks

state-patrol-logoEleven businesses in Douglas and Sarpy Counties were found to be non-compliant during alcohol compliance checks conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol.

The compliance checks held Thursday and Friday, August 15 & 16 were conducted at 106 alcohol retail outlets in the Omaha metro area. Of the 106 outlets checked, 11 businesses were found to be non-compliant after selling alcohol to minors. The retail outlets checked during the collaborative efforts included convenience, liquor and grocery stores as well as restaurants and bars.

Law enforcement performs compliance checks to ensure that businesses are complying with the state’s alcohol laws and to decrease youth access to alcohol.

The compliance checks were conducted thanks in part to a $5,840 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).
