Lois Ann Arterburn, 90, of North Platte, NE, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.

Lois was born May 27, 1923, to Franz “Frank” Claudius Christian and Marietta Hasebrook Einspahr at Holstein, NE where she grew up. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1941.

On January 8, 1945, Lois married Delbert Edmund Arterburn in North Platte where they made their home. Lois stayed at home to raise their children and enjoyed baking and cooking for others.

She is survived by her son, Wayne (Sonia) Arterburn, of North Platte; a daughter, Karen Mew, of Largo, FL; daughter-in-law, Shirley Arterburn, of North Platte; two grandchildren, Josh Arterburn, of North Platte and Jessica Arterburn, of Greeley, CO; two great-grandchildren, Kayden and Damon Arterburn, of Greeley, CO; a brother, Eldean Einspahr, of Kansas City, MO; many nieces, nephews and other family.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; a son, Jimmy Lee Arterburn; her parents, Frank and Marietta Einspahr; four brothers, Duane, Donald, Gerald and Eugene Einspahr; and three sisters, Eunice Goelz, Loretta Baker and Shirley Einspahr.

A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with Pastor Richard Karr officiating. The casket will not be open.
