Nebraska Families on Target Archery Event Set

ArcheryLINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has scheduled free archery and free food during Families on Target night.

The event is set to run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lincoln Archery Park.

There will be 3-D animal targets and a new aerial archery machine will be used. It lets archers shoot foam discs out of the sky.

The Lincoln Prairie Bowmen Archery Club will serve hot dogs and drinks. Participants may bring their archery gear, but loaner equipment will be available.

Visit huntsafenebraska.gov and scroll down to Skills Workshops to register. People can enter the Lincoln Archer Park at 44th and Superior streets through Lincoln Trap and Skeet.
