Sex with a 15-year-old girl got a North Platte man four to eight years in prison.

Cole Picotte received the sentence for First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Monday in Lincoln County District Court.

Prosecutors say Picotte had a sexual relationship with a 15-year old girl from December of 2012 to January of 2013.

Picotte was 20-years-old at the time.

Picotte maintained that the sex was consensual.
