Linda F. Rudolph, 69, of North Platte, NE, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
Linda was born August 29, 1944, to Orrin Myron and Dorothy Erma Batt Edwards at West Bend, IA. In 1952 the family moved to North Platte where Linda grew up. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1962.
On July 21, 1963, Linda married James E. Rudolph in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at North Platte where they also made their home. Linda worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years with Sixth Street Food Store and later SunMart and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
For over 30 years, Linda coffeed on Thursdays and loved her coffee girls, Shirley, Sharon, Loretta, Linda and Lynette. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays she played Bingo with her friend, Ruth. She also enjoyed collecting coins and reading books with her book friend, Martha. Linda was an amazing friend.
She is survived by her husband, Jim, and three daughters, Lisa (Kevin) Sheffield, Lynnette (Ben) Niles and Tisha (Jason) Reed, all of North Platte; a son, Scott Rudolph, of Ogallala, NE; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Carol (Lyle) Robinson, Algona, IA, Cherie (Colin) Penny, of Sargent, NE, and Vickie (Tim) Pleiss and Lori Sprunk, all of North Platte; a brother, Armin Edwards, of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Terry (John) Ringland, of Mandan, ND; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orrin and Dorothy; a sister, Judy; and a brother, Larry.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Nathan Wilke officiating. Inurnment will follow in Fort McPherson National Cemetery. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to Callahan Cancer Center.
