(AP) — A 47-year-old Nebraska Panhandle man has been charged with threatening to set himself and others on fire.

Scott McGlone was charged Monday with felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor disturbing the peace.

Police say McGlone had soaked himself with gasoline on Oct. 1 at the Mitchell house he shared with his former wife. A Mitchell officer says McGlone yelled out that he “just wanted to kill himself and everything.”

The officer says the ex-wife talked McGlone into handing her the lighter he’d been holding.
