(AP) — The 23-year-old sister of a man accused of killing four people in August will stand trial for murder in one of those cases.
A judge found there was enough evidence Friday to try Erica Jenkins for first-degree murder in the Aug. 19 death of 22-year-old Curtis Bradford.
Prosecutors said Friday during Erica Jenkins’s preliminary hearing that she shot first, then Nikko Jenkins shot, killing Bradford.
Prosecutors say Erica Jenkins then complained that her brother had taken her “first kill” from her.
Nikko Jenkins is also charged with three other counts of first-degree murder for the Aug. 11 deaths of Jorge Cajiga-Ruiz and Juan Uribe-Pena and the Aug. 21 shooting death of Andrea Kruger.
