A North Platte man has been charged with multiple serious misdemeanors following an argument with a female.

According to Rodney Brown, North Platte Police Department public information officer, officers received a report of a  domestic assault at around 11:30 a.m. on November 9th.

The female victim alleged that her domestic partner, 28-year-old Matthew Meyer, assaulted her and would not allow her to leave a residence in 400 block of South Willow.

Furthermore, the victim told police that Meyer pushed himself against her in an unwanted sexual manner, then forced her outside and assaulted her again.

Following an investigation, police found probable cause to arrest Meyer and charge him with 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, 3rd Degree Sexual Assault and 2nd Degree False Imprisonment, all Class I misdemeanors.

Meyer was transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center.
