(AP) — The Nebraska Republican Party has announced a series of debates for the GOP primaries in the state’s gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races.
The party says there will be six debates in all — one debate in each of the state’s three congressional districts for each race.
In the governor’s race, there will be debates on Feb. 19 in Papillion, March 23 in Broken Bow and April 23 in Norfolk. In the Senate race, the debates will be Jan. 29 in Gering, March 11 in Omaha and April 7 in Lincoln.
Nebraska GOP Chairman J.L. Spray says the party hopes Republican voters will take the time to attend or watch the debates in preparation for their decision for 2014.
