OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police say a woman was shot and killed inside a home in northeast Omaha this weekend, but they released few details initially.

The shooting happened Saturday around 4:45 p.m.

Police Officer James Shade says the woman was shot and killed inside the house, but it didn’t appear to be the woman’s home.

The woman was deceased when officers arrived.

Police did not immediately identify the woman or release her age.

The woman’s death was Omaha’s 43rd homicide in 2013.
