Jesse Ryan Hornbacher, age 27, of North Platte passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his home. He was born June 10, 1986 in North Platte to Michael and Shari (Comer) Hornbacher. He attended elementary school in North Platte and later Grand Island Public Schools. When he was a boy he received the Presidential Athletic Award for being in such good shape. Jesse was an avid skateboarder. He went through Lord knows how many boards in his life. He also loved to tinker with things. This led him to become a skilled and detailed craftsman and artist and to fix and work on cars. He also was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed horses, camping, fishing and just being in nature. Jesse’s happiest times were when he was with his family, especially his son, Kasson. He was always good with kids and his son was the light of his life.
Survivors include his son, Kasson Hornbacher of North Platte; mother, Shari (Paul) Jaskierny of Vancouver, WA.; father Michael Hornbacher of Cheyenne, WY.; step father James McClellen of Grand Island; three sisters, Amanda Caudillo of North Platte, Tiffany (Shawn Uhrich) and Stephanie (DJ Muir) McClellen both of Grand Island; a brother Kory McClellen of Grand Island; grandparents Jim and Wanda Hornbacher of North Platte, Tom Comer of Germantown, TN. and Jack McClellan of North Platte; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Sharon K. Williams.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be Monday, December 16, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
