COLUMBUS, Neb. (AP) — Lottery officials are waiting for the winner of a $1 million Mega Millions ticket bought in eastern Nebraska’s Columbus to come forward.
A Mega Millions lottery ticket sold at the Corner Stop convenience matched all five white ball numbers, but missed the Mega Ball number of 7 that would have meant a share of the $636 million Mega Millions jackpot.
Two tickets sold in California and Georgia matched all six numbers to split the $636 million Mega Millions jackpot, the second-largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
Corner Stop owner Jed Brunken says the $1 million prize is the largest amount any lottery ticket sold at his store.
