OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha man has been sentenced to probation and fined $15,000 after pleading guilty to conspiracy involving three Omaha spas that were fronts for prostitution.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Christopher J. Tierney was sentenced Monday to three years of probation and the fine.
Tierney pleaded guilty on Aug. 19 to conspiracy to use facilities in interstate commerce in aid of a racketeering enterprise.
The attorney’s office says Tierney set up computer and electronic services for the spas, including websites where established customers could arrange appointments online. Tierney also set up and maintained surveillance cameras at two of the businesses and a text messaging system alerting workers to appointments.
