A North Platte couple has been charged with felony child abuse after they were busted using meth and other drugs around their infant child.
According to a statement from the North Platte Police Department, the North Platte 911 Center received a call for assistance from Christopher Tidball at around 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27th.
Tidball told dispatchers that he and his wife, Michele Tidball, had been using methamphetamine and other controlled substances and needed help.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that the Tidballs had an infant child in the home with them.
Officers determined that the Tidballs had used drugs to the extent that they were not able to care for the child.
Police say the child was removed from the unsafe environment and placed in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services.
Christopher and Michele Tidball were charged with felony child abuse and jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
