(AP) — The Omaha Police Department is firing two more officers involved in the arrest of three brothers that was captured on video and posted online.
The department said in a news release Thursday that the two officers are awaiting procedural hearings before their dismissals are final. The department didn’t name the two.
Four other officers have been fired since the March 21 incident, and two have been charged with criminal violations. The three brothers, their mother and her sister have sued Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer (SHMAH’-dur), eight named officers and 24 unnamed officers, alleging excessive force and other rights violations. The incident erupted as officers responded to a parking complaint.
