North Platte – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights basketball team (7-6) defeated the Doane College JV Lady Tigers by a score of 64-42. The Lady Knights came out firing as they jumped out to an 11-0 lead to start the game.
The Lady Knights dominated the first half as they took a 39-19 lead into the locker room. The second half was more of the same as the Lady Knights never let the Lady Tigers gain any momentum.
Sophomore Courtney Widick led the way as she finished with 14 points. Sophomore Jordan Dickerson was also in double-figures with 10 points.
“We played well to earn the victory,” said head coach Richard Thurin. We had nine girls score and we played good defense.”
