Wind-Energy Symposium Set for Feb. in North Platte

windmill A symposium in scheduled in North Platte will focus on wind-energy development in Nebraska.

The Feb. 12 event will take place at the Quality Inn and Suites’ Sandhills Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free, one-day symposium will focus on wind energy in Nebraska and its implications for natural resources and people. Landowners, farmers and ranchers, business leaders and public-policy officials are encouraged to attend.

The event is sponsored by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension, Nebraska Cattlemen, Nebraska Grazing Land Coalition, Western Nebraska Bank and the Nature Conservancy.
