(AP) — The state of Nebraska says an Exeter husband and wife who run a gun shop in Exeter have failed to pay sales taxes and owe the state back incomes taxes.
Rob and Hope Androyna each face five felony charges in Lancaster County Court.
The Nebraska Revenue Department says the Androynas collected nearly $200,000 in local and state sales taxes through their Exeter Arms business from 2009 through 2012 but didn’t remit the money to the state. The state also alleges the Androynas didn’t report profit, income or wages from their business until October 2013.
A home phone listed for the Androynas rang unanswered on Monday. Their attorney didn’t immediately return a call from The Associated Press.
