Boys Basketball

No. 9 (A) Fremont 51 North Platte 33

The Dawgs trailed 21-16 at the half before the Tigers pulled away in the third quarter. Kade Erickson and Drew Callaghan each scored 11 points to lead North Platte. Callaghan also pulled down 23 rebounds in the game, including 11 offensive boards. He set a new career total rebounds mark at North Platte High School with the feat.

Girls Basketball

No. 5 (A) Fremont 70 North Platte 52

The Lady Dawgs kept it close throughout three quarters before the fifth-ranked Tigers pulled away for the win. Kaitlynn Harvey led North Platte with 16 points and Jessy Hunt was also in double-figures with 13. Jessica Shepard led all scorers with 34 points for Fremont.

Friday, February 7

Boys Basketball

Lincoln Northeast 78 North Platte 56

The Dawgs trailed by just four points going in to the fourth quarter before Rockets point guard scored 20 points in the quarter and finished with a game-high 36. Kade Erickson led North Platte with 21 points in the game and Shane Mauch was also in double-figures with 14.

Blake Ristine led three Swedes in double-figures with 18 points in the loss. Dawson Graham scored 15 points and Tanner Borchardt recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Girls Basketball

In a game closer than the score indicated the Lady Dawgs dropped their fourth in a row. Kaitlynn Harvey led NP with 14 points.
