The Dawgs lost a heart breaker on the road for the final day of the East-West Shootout, 48-45 to Gering. North Platte finishes the tournament 2-1. In the game Shane Mauch led the Dawgs with 11 points, Kade Erickson and Drew Callaghan each added 10.

The Lady Dawgs go 3-0 in the East-West Shootout to improve to 13-9 on the season. North Platte’s closest game in the shootout was a 23-point win over Alliance.

Kade Erickson led the Dawgs with 16 points as North Platte improved to 2-0 in the East-West Shootout. Shane Mauch scored 12 points and Drew Callaghan had 10 as well for the Bulldogs. North Platte wraps up the East-West Shootout on Saturday at Gering.

The Dawgs got off to a 10-0 start en route to the 19-point win over Alliance on Thursday. It was North Platte’s first game of the 2014 version of the East-West Shootout and Kade Erickson led the way with a game-high 19 points. Shane Mauch and Drew Callaghan were also in double-figures with 14 points apiece. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for North Platte.
