Evelyn P. Elsasser Posted on February 18, 2014 </p> <p>Evelyn P. Elsasser, age 95, of Brady, died February 15, 2014 at Linden Court. She was born on November 3, 1918 in Brady, Nebraska to Fulton and Jean (Gilman) Murphy.<br /> Evelyn graduated from Brady High School, and then went on to attend college. On July 16, 1938, she married Arno Elsasser in Brady. The couple made their home in Brady where Evelyn worked as a substitute postal clerk. The couple enjoyed their winters in retirement years in Tucson, Arizona. Arno preceded her in death on May 26, 2001. Evelyn was a member of the Brady Methodist Church.<br /> Survivors include a son, Michael (Ann) Elsasser of Cheyenne, WY; two daughters, Geraldine Bond of Brady, NE, and Arlyn “Kay” (Bill) Rogers of Brady, NE; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.<br /> She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Dick Murphy; and a sister, Dorothy Mischke.<br /> Memorials may be directed to Brady United Methodist church and online condolences can be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.<br /> Services will be 1:30 Saturday March 8, 2014 at the Brady Methodist Church with Pastor Janie Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at the Brady Cemetery.
