(AP) — Nearly three years after a fatal shooting in northeast Nebraska a suspect is facing charges.
23-year-old Daniel Hofmann has been charged with manslaughter, tampering with evidence and other charges in the April 2011 death.
Pierce County Sheriff Verlyn Luebbe said Friday that Hofmann is suspected in the death of 18-year-old Wesley Kuester, of Norfolk.
Kuester was shot with a shotgun while visiting friends in Pierce.
Prosecutors say Kuester and Hofmann were the only ones in the apartment at the time of the shooting, and it would have been physically impossible for Kuester to shoot himself.
Hofmann is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Wednesday.
