The North Platte Bulldogs soccer teams hosted the Knights of Lincoln Southeast on Friday and both the boys and girls teams lost.
The Lady Bulldogs (3-1) suffered their first loss of the season, 3-1 to the Lady Knights (3-0). Lincoln Southeast jumped out to a 2-0 lead at halftime during the game at Madison Middle School in North Platte. The Lady Dogs scored in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Knights added a goal as well en route to the win.
Marisa Martinez scored the lone goal for North Platte with Taylor Banark getting the assist. Abby Stark recorded 13 saves for the Lady Bulldogs in the loss.
The North Platte Bulldogs (2-2) boys soccer team lost their second match in a row, 3-0 to Lincoln Southeast (2-1) on Friday. North Platte was coming off a shootout loss to Lexington on Thursday and was unable to score on Friday against the Knights. Lincoln Southeast led just 1-0 halfway through the match, then added two more goals in the second half to secure the win.
Dakota Guenin recorded 11 saves in the net for North Platte.
The Bulldogs boys and girls soccer teams will return to action Tuesday at home against Grand Island.
