North Platte St. Patrick’s track and field team won the Booster Club Invitational in Sutherland on Saturday with 106 team points. Minden won the girls side with 89 points.
St. Pat’s boys were dominant in Sutherland by outdistancing the second place team by 31 points. Minded scored 75 and Paxton was third with 68. Other area schools that competed on Saturday were Wallace, sixth place with 35 points, Sutherland tied for eighth place with 33 points, and Hershey, 10th place with 31 points.
The girls meet was much more of a challenge. Minden won by just five and a half points of the Lady Irish of St. Patrick’s. Minden finished with 89 and St. Pat’s scored 83.5. Hershey rounded out the top three with 68 points. Other area schools that competed on Saturday were Sutherland, sixth place with 52 points, and Wallace, 11th place with 14 points.
