A North Platte man and woman are both in jail on felony charges after they allegedly stole clothing from the woman’s roommate.
According to Officer Rodney Brown, officers responded to the report of a burglary in Kings’ Court Mobile Home Park, 2420 W. 9th, at around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday.
The 21-year-old female resident alleged that her roommate, 30-year-old Stephanie Gutherless, had stolen newly purchased clothing from her.
During an investigation, officers learned that several of the items had been returned to The Buckle in the Platte River Mall for cash.
The other items were found to be in the possession of 30-year-old Timothy Caudillo at his residence in the 1200 block of West 11th.
Gutherless was arrested and charged with felony theft by taking. Caudillo was placed in custody and charged with felony possession of stolen property.
Both were jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center, where they are being held without bond.
