A North Platte man has been charged with two felonies after he allegedly threatened to kill a man with a knife and shoot him.
According to North Platte Police, officers received a report of a disturbance in the 1100 block of East 5th Street, on Friday, at around 12:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with 46-year-old Wade Krahulik and two other people.
An investigation revealed that Krahulik and his girlfriend had a mutual male friend. Police say Krahulik didn’t approve of the relationship that had developed between his girlfriend and their friend.
Krahulik allegedly confronted the man and displayed a large knife.
Authorities say he threatened to kill the man with the knife, stabbed it into his own pickup which was parked nearby, and threatened to shoot him with a gun.
Police were able to locate the knife, and placed Krahulik under arrest for felony terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
He was jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
