A 35-year-old North Platte man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught on camera punching his girlfriend.

At around 3:20 p.m., on May 8, a complaint was filed with the North Platte Police Department by a witness regarding a domestic assault.

An investigation was opened, and an officer obtained video surveillance from a residence in the 800 block of North Willow.

According to Officer Rodney Brown, the video showed Randy Rosenberg punching his 31-year-old girlfriend in the face following a brief argument in front of the residence.

Following further investigation, officers determined that there was probable cause to arrest Rosenberg for 3rd degree domestic assault.

On May 12, an officer responding to a welfare check in the 700 block of West B Street made contact with  Rosenberg and placed him under arrest.

He was transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center and jailed.
