(AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 55-year-old woman who died after being hit by a train in Kearney.

She was identified as Karen McConnell, of Kearney.

Kearney officers were sent to the scene on West Railroad Street a little after 6:15 p.m., on Sunday, after Union Pacific workers called 911.

McConnell was pronounced dead at the scene.
