Curtis D. Bodeman, 84, of Hayes Center, passed away June 12, 2014 at the Cozad Golden Living Center with his loving children at his bedside. He was born July 21, 1929, to Chester J. and Hanna Marie (Bannister) Bodeman. He was a lifelong resident of Hayes County. Curtis was married to the love of his life, Wanda Mae Mosely for over fifty years. To that union four children were born, Debra (Larry) Schneider, Kirk (Liyan) Bodeman, Rick Bodeman and Jon (Cheri) Bodeman. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the United Congregational Church, American Legion in Hayes Center and the VFW in Palisade. He was a Hayes County Commissioner. Curtis was united in marriage to Patsy Ogier in 2005. He is survived by his children; his wife, Patsy; fifteen grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; his parents; two brothers, Leroy and Alan; and two grandchildren, Derek and Micky. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Hayes Center Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
