ANSELMO, Neb. (AP) — A grand reopening of Victoria Springs Lake will be held this month to celebrate the completion of an aquatic habitat project.
The event will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Victoria Springs State Recreation Area east of Anselmo in central Nebraska. The public is welcome to take a tour of the lake and stay for hot dogs, beans, chips and soda.
The lake has undergone a number of improvements, including deepening, replacement of the outlet structure, bank stabilization, better shoreline fishing access and construction of a fishing pad.
The lake has also been stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish.
