LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Lincoln police say a woman was stabbed in the face and abdomen after an early morning argument.
Police were called to a stabbing report at an apartment around 5 a.m. Sunday.
Lincoln Police Capt. Michon Morrow says a woman was stabbed multiple times. Morrow says a witness tried to intervene and suffered a bite on his chin and small cuts from the knife before the suspect fled on foot.
Morrow says the woman’s injuries were not life-threatening. She underwent surgery Sunday morning.
Police have identified a suspect but are not releasing a name. Morrow says the suspect violated a protection order by entering the apartment.
