The drug trade in North Platte and Central Nebraska took a big hit after 17 arrests were recently made for distribution of controlled substances.

The FBI along with the CODE Drug Task Force and the WING Drug Task force executed the arrest warrants this week.  The individuals arrested are facing charges ranging from possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver to distribution of a controlled substance.

According to the FBI, those arrested include:

-Terry Sidie-North Platte

-William Hicks-North Platte

-Paul Swoboda-North Platte

-Timothy Caudillo-North Platte

-Marcello Vieyra-North Platte

-Aryan Perry-North Platte

-Esther Rivera-North Platte

-Randall Leeper-North Platte

-Timothy Leeper-North Platte

-Jamie Trujillo-North Platte

-Sean Heineman-North Platte

-James Pettry-North Platte

-June Westby-Paxton

-Melissa Bittner-Brule

-Jordan Davison-Ogallala

-Michael Catchings-Kearney

-Ashley Burow-Kearney

Many of those arrested have been federally indicted, while some are only facing state charges.

The arrests were made by the North Platte Police Department, Sidney Police Department, Ogallala Police Department, Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office, Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, FBI, United States Department of Homeland Security and the Nebraska State Patrol.
