HARRISON, Neb. (AP) — A 7-year-old Nebraska girl has returned home to recover from a rattlesnake bite received while picking flowers alongside a road in the northwest corner of the Nebraska Panhandle.
Britney Klein was discharged from Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Colorado, on Thursday and arrived home in Harrison, Nebraska, late that night. Lisa Klein told The Associated Press on Friday that her daughter “couldn’t be any better.”
Britney Klein was struck in a leg on Tuesday a few miles from Harrison. She was given some anti-venom while she and her mother were being flown to a Scottsbluff hospital. Britney was then taken to the Colorado hospital for specialized care.
