ANTIOCH, Calif. (AP) — Police in the San Francisco Bay Area have arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of shooting and wounding an 11-year-old boy.
The younger boy is expected to survive.
He was shot once in the chest Thursday outside an Antioch apartment complex. Antioch police Cpl. James McMurry said the 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm later that day.
He says the 11-year-old is in stable condition.
Police did not release additional details about the shooting.
