Steven P. Gastineau, 50, of North Platte, NE passed away July 20, 2014 at his sisters, Peggy’s home among his sisters and children. Steven had lost his hard battle with cancer.
Steven has born in North Platte to Floyd and Patricia Negley/Gastineau on November 1, 1963. He lived in North Platte his whole life. Steven married Rita R. Dolly in North Platte in 1991. Born to this union was one child, Tasha Lynn Gastineau. Born in another union with Brenda Fillmore were two children, Patrick Dale Gastineau and Daylon Isaac Gastineau.
Steven made his living working at Circle C South in the maintenance department, Central Nebraska Packing, and Kelley’s Custom Pack both as a butcher.
Steven had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, which was his idol, and other music. He also enjoyed playing pool and dancing.
Survivors include sisters and brother, Lynn Allen, Jamie Gastineau, Peggy (LeRoy) Gray, and Karen (Duffy) Hopkins. He had many nieces and nephews.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Patricia Gastineau; brothers, Floyd Ray (Butch) Gastineau, and Robbin Gastineau.

Services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with the Pastor Ben Schumacher officiating. Burial will follow at the North Platte Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
