LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — A media panel has selected running back Ameer Abdullah and defensive end Randy Gregory of Nebraska to the Big Ten Players to Watch list for this season.

The list of 10 players — five each from the East and West divisions — was announced Monday before the conference’s football media day in Chicago.

Abdullah ran for almost 1,700 yards last season and is the top returning rusher in the Big Ten. Gregory led the conference with 10 ½ sacks in 2013. Both are on watch lists for several national awards this year.
