GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska State Fair has decided to charge a $6 “convenience fee” to get assigned seats at the fair’s concerts this summer.
Fair events and entertainment director Chelsey Jungck (yuhnk) said that several people said they’d be willing to pay a small fee for a reserved seat in the arena. At previous fairs, people had to wait in line to get wristbands that would get them into the arena for free, but seats were not assigned.
Jungck says the fee process works through Etix, which also provides the services for gate admission.
This year’s fair runs Aug. 22 to Sept. 1 this year.
